What do you think?

I've had Illyria on my GP list for a while, but I've really been loving it lately, considering moving it to my combo list. Do you think it's usable? Middle names?

Hmmm... That's a tough one for me, seeing as it's on my own GP list! The sound of it is very recognisable and fairly normal-sounding, but because of the mystical spelling and all the associations (The Twelfth Night, Angel), it makes it more unusable. I toyed with changing the spelling at one point, but it got rid of the beauty and mysticism of the name (and the associations, which is how I discovered it in the first place).

So I'm not sure. I think it's probably not usable, but a lot more usable than some other GP names out there.

As for middle names, it would need something pretty regular, that would bring it back down to Earth. Maybe something like Dawn, Bethany, Madeleine, Salome (unusual, but I think it sounds nice), Xanthe, May...

I think I'd have to hear it a few times first before it really grew on me. It could be pretty. However, I think it's a bit too out there to be usable.

For middles, I'd have to agree and say that something simple and classic would work well

I like it and I think it could be usable.
