I don't mean names like Parker and Jackson, that are actual first names as well. I mean full, proper surnames.

What do you think about using those kind of surnames as first names in general?

What do you think about these specific ones - Bethke (BETH-kee), Staples, and Bellefleur for girls, and Duchovny (duke-OV-nee), Kollias (KOLL-ee-əss), and Hellsten for boys?

I was watching Lost, and it got me thinking, because there's a character called Charlotte Staples Lewis, and the way she says her name makes it sound like Staples is a given name. So I was curious what everyone else thought!

I love surname names - my favourite out of the ones you mentioned is Staples.

My favourites are Sinclair, Forbes, Innes, Munro, Campbell, Calder, Ferguson and Gilmour for boys.

I don't really like surname names for girls.

Obviously I like them since my second boy name is Porter Smile There are a few (like Harper and Emerson) that I like for girls, too.
